There are some scary-looking folks in the world. Add in a few cartridges of ink and the scary is amplified. This doesn’t say much for their personality, though. They’re human like the rest of us and are pretty nice for the most part. Yet sometimes the tat matches the persona, just like this extra-creepy eyeball tattoo on 30-year-old Jason Barnum from Anchorage, Alaska.

This tattoo is just like his insides: disturbing.

Last week, Jason Barnum pled guilty in the shooting of a police officer. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison. While the tattoo obviously didn’t make him do it, maybe it’ll serve him some good in prison.

Intimidating his fellow inmates or something. Or maybe the blacked-out eyeball tattoo will match future head injuries he’ll suffer behind bars. What a fashion statement.

I don’t even want to imagine the process of getting that tattooed. Maybe I’m missing something “hip and cool” here. It must have hurt like heck. Now that I look at it again, the eye looks kind of cool.

Nah, not even close.
